Q: What materials can be laser-cut?
We can laser cut a wide range of materials, including acrylic, aluminum, balsa wood, basswood, cardboard, chipboard, Corian, Delrin, fiberglass, laminate, latex, Masonite, Melamine, matte boards, MDF, museum boards, metals, polyurethane foam, fabric runners, Polyester Mylar, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyurethane, paper, rubber, Silicone, stainless steel, steel, Teflon, 3Form, wood, and many others. You can supply your materials or use our stock inventory.
Q: What are size and thickness limitations?
Cut table: 96″ x 48″
Cut and engraved: 39″ x 24″
Thickness: up to 1″ thick in acrylic, wood and 1/4″ thick in aluminum, and steel
Q: What file formats are acceptable?
We accept any vector format, such as AI, DWG, DXF, EPS, CDR, or SVG. Files can be sent to us via email.
Q: Can Laser Alliance LLC do the computer programming?
Our professional staff can provide computer programming, digitizing, or scanning using your sketches, drawings, blueprints, or camera-ready artworks.
Q: Does Laser Alliance LLC offer vinyl cutting?
Yes! There are hundreds of vinyl colors to choose from.
Q: What type of materials can be laser-etched or engraved?
Most non-metallic materials, including glass, can be laser-etched or engraved.
The depth can be defined accordingly. Glass engraving with a CO2 laser produces a beautiful frosted effect. We can also etch on some metals, such as aluminum, anodized aluminum, brass, steel, and stainless steel.
Q: How much does it cost?
We will provide a price quote after reviewing your drawings, CAD files, or vector graphics files. You may send these via email.
Q: What types of payment are accepted?
We accept American Express, Discovery, Master Card, and Visa. California company check and certified checks are also welcome.
Q. Do we cut tubes?
No. We cut flat sheets only.
Q. What is laser beam width (kerf)?
Our laser beam kerf is approximately 0.008″. Drawings can be adjusted to compensate for the kerf.
Thicker materials will require additional offset if needed.
